Returning from a study tour at Biovallée (Drome - France) organised by Innergies and DeEnet, the belgian delegation reported on the opportunity to launch a mass renovation scheme for individual houses, DOREMI.

A Belgian delegation of technicians

Composed by representatives from the construction sector, universisties and the province, the belgian delegation visits the biovalley and takes part to a 2 day tour on the 11 and 12 june to learn more about one of the singularities of this region: its large scale support mechanism for the renovation of houses (DOREMI).

The aim of DOREMI

The aim is to renovate 100 houses per year up to 2015 and then 600 after 2020, in order to help halve energy consumption in the valley. This operation will generate 150 jobs per annum and €1,260,000 p.a. in VAT, while reducing households’ exposure to the vagaries of the energy market.

The pilote

Pilot sites have been launched in the Biovallée since September 2012. in all, 14 bâtiments were selected. 7 consortium of crafstman were set to answer this demand and propose price quotes to the 14 owners, that were free to refuse the proposal.
