Community Energy Scotland

Community Energy Scotland
Community Energy Scotland is Scotland’s only national charity dedicated to supporting communities to develop their own renewable energy projects. We provide detailed, independent advice and support on all aspects of community energy development, from micro to megawatt scale, and have supported almost 1,000 community groups across Scotland to this end. As a membership organisation, we represent the interests of our members and community clients at a policy level to keep community energy at the forefront of organisations such as DECC, OFGEM, SSE and the National Grid. We deliver service contracts such as the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme Loan Fund (CARES) and the Big Lottery’s Growing Community Assets (GCA) fund, as well as regional contracts, and even international support in Malawi.
