In May, this year, a delegation of five persons representing the University "Vasile Alecsandri" of Bacau and the communities involved in the project 100% RES traveled to Toulouse for a working visit. This visit allowed the valorization of some achievements that the rural communities had in reducing the electricity consumption.

In this regard, the first objective of the visit (co-organized by Solagro and Pays de l'Albigeois et des Bastides) was a meeting with the officials of Labastide Gabausse commune. During the talks, the representatives of the local electricity supplier proposed to analyze a project implemented in Tarn: replacement of classic public lighting system with a more efficient and economical one, based on photovoltaic energy, in order to reduce the electricity consumption. In addition, the thermal rehabilitation of public institutions was another factor in saving electricity, made in order to get closer to the energetic independence.

Another example of good practice was the windfarm d'Arfons. The project (28 million euros) was developed by the company Valorem between 2001 and 2009 and includes 5 wind turbines of 2 MWh.

The last stage involved the visit of Treatment, recycling and green waste Platforms Cler-vert. The company Béléesta (led by Gérard Lanta et Jean-Luc Da Lozzo) has built a solid reputation in the world of sustainable development through service to the community and involvement in research dedicated to achieve dry extraction biogas systems from waste.
